BuildX 2026 is Kerala's flagship Physical AI & Software Innovation Challenge organized by Blankspace Community, giving college students a platform to turn concepts into real solutions.

Two Categories of Innovation
Choose between Hardware and Software. Both tracks offer equal opportunity to build and showcase solutions.
Physical AI, Embedded & IoT
Build smart gadgets, automation modules, robotics, wearables, agricultural electronics, and sensor networks.
Only Arduino UNO Q boards are provided on-site. Participants must bring any additional sensors, jumpers, and modules needed.
Top projects win cash awards from the ₹32,000+ pool plus official Arduino UNO Q boards.
AI, Web & Digital Products
Create digital applications, AI models, mobile apps, web platforms, developer tools, and intelligent software systems.
The use of AI-based development tools and assistants is fully allowed.
Evaluated on original problem solving, execution quality, and practical feasibility.

Phase 1 Online Submission Closes
Final deadline to submit project abstracts and presentation decks online. No theme, the sky is the limit! The evaluation committee reviews all entries.
Top 50 Shortlist Announcement
The top 50 shortlisted teams are announced and receive official reporting invitations for the on-site physical challenge.
Grand Finale Build Sprint & Demos
Full-day 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM build sprint at AJCE. Official Arduino hardware issued, live prototyping, jury demos, and winner awards.

Team Composition
Team size: 2 to 4 members. All members must belong to the same college.
Track Selection
Must choose Hardware or Software. A member cannot be part of multiple teams at Phase 2.
Open Theme & Originality
The sky is the limit! No thematic restrictions on original ideas. The use of AI development tools is allowed.
Hardware & Component Policy
Only Arduino UNO Q boards are provided on-site. All additional sensors, jumper wires, breadboards, and components must be brought by participants.
Phase 2 Attendance
Top 50 shortlisted teams must attend BuildX at Amal Jyothi College of Engineering on 26 September 2026.
Judging & Decisions
Decisions of organizers and judging panel regarding selection and winners are final.

Powering Hardware Innovation at BuildX 2026
As the Official Hardware Partner, Arduino directly supports participating Hardware teams during the physical challenge by providing hardware resources on-site. Arduino also awards the Best Hardware Project with official Arduino UNO Q boards to help the winning team continue building beyond the event.
Only UNO Q boards are provided on-site; participants bring required sensors & jumpers.
